Out & About - Sit Down & Scroll
Some of the great and good things I have seen, heard and ingested over the past few weeks.
Here are the delightful discoveries that have captivated my attention over the past few weeks. It's quite an eclectic mix, but as always, my hope is that at least one of these treasures will prove useful to you. And if not, I trust it will provide a loveable distraction for five minutes.

I must admit, I made a deal with Viu L’Emporda for a discounted holiday. So sue me. I'm not one of those people who goes from pillar to post on a PR’s dime. I am careful with what I accept. It has to be something that I feel would work for Tat and the Tat audience, and obviously, the main point pour moi. I will write more about this on Tat, but I have to say, I haven’t had such a marvellous holiday in years.
As a family, we try to go away together once a year. Due to an accident last year, my mother and father were unable to come. When they arrived at the house last week, I breathed a sigh of relief. Having the six of us together, along with my two nephews, created some of the happiest moments in my life. These moments were set against the background of Emporda, an extraordinary part of Spain. To me, it felt like a blend of Tuscany and the South of France, with better walking than I have found in any other European country and bird songs that filled the air. In a word, it was a dream.
So now this might give the impression that my cupboards are filled with freebies, but I assure you, I stand by the above. At the beginning of last year, I began taking Lumity and continued until October or November. As the old adage goes, ‘You don’t know what you’ve got till it’s gone.’ I had to stop due to financial constraints, but recently, I started taking it again because Lumity offered me a month free.
It would be disingenuous to claim I felt like Superwoman, but I can attest to a couple of significant improvements: my sleep has improved considerably, and, though it may be too much information, the pain I experience during my time of the month has decreased substantially. It’s clear to me that this should now be a staple of my daily routine, and I will share my receipt so you can see I put my money where my mouth is.
I must admit, I have missed the WOW! House in Design Centre in Chelsea Harbour for a couple of years, but this morning I visited. Dear reader, I have been foolish in my lack of attendance in previous years. The execution, quality, and featured names within these 19 rooms are simply fabulous. It is a monument to British design. While you might not love every room—only a very mixed-up person would—you have to appreciate the ideas, time, money, and heart put into creating this temporary exhibition. If you have time to visit, I strongly suggest it. You’ll find works by Benedict Foley, Alidad, Guy Goodfellow, Lucy Hammond Giles (Sibyl Colefax & John Fowler), Charlotte Freemantle (Jamb), Veere Grenney, Studio Vero, and more. It's not often you get to experience design of this calibre, so take the opportunity when you can.
I realise I am late to the party on this one, but I have only just signed up for Vinted and love it. I have yet to buy anything, but I have sold 8 things so far, sent them off, and am now waiting for the moolah. My profile is crytalp88. Crystal used to be my alter ego, and she doesn’t get out much nowadays, so I thought it was only right as we are selling much of her eccentric (& size 10) wardrobe.
