Favourite Antiques & Art by Angelica Squire co-founder of Studio Squire
The magic designer Angelica Squire has been kind enough to share with us her favourite antiques and art on the market!
Introducing the illustrious Angelica Squire, the spirited co-founder of Studio Squire, a sanctuary of interior design that turns the ordinary into the extraordinary with a flourish! I have long admired Angelica's work; she has had a hand in some of the most popular spots in London. It was a joy to have her take part in this feature and I have to say I wanted every single piece.
‘A room scheme wouldn’t be complete without an antique or two. Vintage and second-hand pieces add a bucket load of charm to a space; they ooze character and make you ponder where they were before now. Brand new pieces, though lovely in their own right, simply cannot offer the deep-rooted personality that a mottled gilt mirror or a crooked cricket table can, hence the real-time joy that is found in adding them to a home. Here’s a selection of things that have caught my eye of late - I’d love to know what the pewter cocktail jug has poured in its time and the Georgian tapered mirror would look ravishing in a dimly lit downstairs loo. Happy shopping!’ – Angelica Squire
