Here I am, championing the Tat Job Board once again—but for good reason! I firmly believe that if you’ve even got one eye on a change, you need to stay in tune with the fantastic ebb and flow of opportunities on there.
Just recently, we received one of the nicest emails in memory from a happy customer—and from none other than the titans of fabric, Bennison Fabrics.
‘I did want to mention how simply fabulous our experience has been using Tat London - I initially tried using a couple of recruitment agencies, who just didn't understand our business. It was quite disheartening. After Tat London was recommended and we purchased an advert, my spirits were almost instantly lifted by the quality of the applicants - they were just what we wanted! We interviewed 6 candidates, and realistically could have employed at least 3 of them - I was just so impressed! While I hope we are not going to be recruiting very often, there is no question of where I will be coming in the future when we have a need! Thank you!!! ‘
I don’t mean to brag, but come on - that my friends is the dream email. So I thank all of you who regularly look at the Job Board as without you its just a weedy web page.
A New Piece Of Tat Stock
Secondly, I’m taking you on a tour of the Blog. As I’ve mentioned before (and before that), full access to the blog costs £25 a year—just £2 a month. A small price to pay for a guide to your next home, a last-minute holiday saviour, and a nudge in the right direction when it comes to affordable antiques, fabric, and whatever else I can dig up.
Here are a few of the members articles that have graced the web pages over the last month or so - (free ones further down)

Leaf It to Me: Furniture & Accessories for an Enchanting Garden
As you can see, that brief moment of sun went straight to my head, and suddenly, I was wracked with guilt about my own garden. A garden that will play a big part in my year ahead yet has been somewhat neglected. So, I’m shifting my attention to my simple patch of land—one I’m very proud to have, despite having not the slightest clue how to keep it in good spirits. But one thing I do know: it will be absolutely rammed with garden furniture, a statue or two (or three… or four), and an extraordinary amount of fairy lights—yes, yes I am naff.
Our Little Black Book Of The Best Places To Find Antique & Vintage Garden Furniture
Spring is coming! Or at least, the daffodils seem to think so. In the spirit of optimism, here’s our roundup of the best places to find antique and vintage pieces for your garden.
To Build, Perchance to Dream: Homes with Potential
We talk about houses a lot here—probably too much. If that feels repetitive, I can only apologise. But the thing is, I love houses. Not necessarily to own—ownership comes with all sorts of headaches—but simply to admire. A good house doesn’t need you to live in it to be appreciated, just as a painting doesn’t need to hang in your hallway for you to love it. If we insisted on owning everything we admired, where would the galleries be? Who would support the National Trust?
Living the French Dream: The Most Glorious Airbnbs to Book Now
Sifting through French Airbnbs is also an exercise in pleasant surprise. Many are remarkably affordable, and the presence of a pool—so often an elusive dream in Britain—transforms even the most questionable interiors into something entirely bearable.
And so, I bring you a selection of places with the requisite amount of charm. The last house is my absolute favourite—I think you’ll agree. I’m tempted to book it the moment the sun sticks around.

From Scotland to Cornwall, we’ve scoured the UK for the most charming corners of real estate—homes with proper character, not just another identikit box. This month, we’ve gone all in on the chocolate-box cottage, and why not? With spring on the horizon, these places offer a front-row seat to England at its best—wisteria creeping up the walls, gardens ready to burst into life, and the reassurance of a good creak in the floorboards.

Homes That Tempt: A Look at the Market’s Best
As you know, we love looking at houses—many of our recent blogs have been proof of that, and it’s something we want to continue: Houses Under £500k, Houses with Potential, and now, this feature, originally given the working title Dream House. Since the final title ended up being a bit too long, I’ll refer to it here as Dream House…
Some truly stellar finds from some truly great people. There’s no better choice in furniture and art than going second—third, or even fourth—hand!
